AR2417是一款高整合性且具备成本效益的家庭网关器802.11g解决方案。这款袖珍的单芯片解决方案为该公司第七代AR5007系列产品的最新成员。

新的AR2417芯片就如同其前身AR5005G，将媒体存取控制器、基频处理器与2.4GHz射频整合于单一芯片设计。除此之外，AR2417现在还将低噪讯放大器(LNA)以及功率放大器(PA)整合于价格低廉的数字CMOS系统芯片，带来更大的价值。

AR2417的创新双层mini-PCI设计，为目前解决方案的一半高度。新设计的袖珍体积并可将印刷电路板(PCB)成本降低五成，比起上一代的四层设计，减少了40%以上的RBOM组件数量。

AR2417包括两组研发套件，提供从上一代Atheros 802.11g PCI平台升级的简单途径。第一组套件包括WLAN网关应用的双层半高mini-PCI设计。第二组则包括供无线PC卡使用的双层单面cardbus
